*Manusmriti, the Greatest Laws for Dharma Shastram ever-created on earth* gives us immense knowledge on how to lead life as per Sanatana Dharma. We give below a sloka on *rules of Veda Parayanam days* as quoted in Manusmriti.
_Amavasyam gurum hanti, Shishyam Hanti Chaturdashi_
_Brahmashtaka Pournamasyou, tasmat tah parivarjayet_
*Meaning:*
We should *never teach or recite/practise vedas on Amavasya (no moon), Chaturdashi (14th day), Ashtami (8th day) and Pournami (full moon) day*, because doing so on Amavasya harms the Guru, on Chaturdashi harms the Shishya, while chanting Vedas on Ashtami and Pournami destroys the Vedas
*To be kept in mind by all Veda learners*
