I am not able to perform Mahalaya Tarpana on all 16 days. I wish to do Sankrun Mahalayam Shraadham, Tarpana (on only 1 day). What day is ideal?
While you can do it on the thithi of your deceased father, compared to that, Rishis have prescribed some special days for doing this 1 day Sankrun Mahalaya. One such special day is Vyatipata Yoga day and performing on this day is equivalent to performing Shraadham at Gaya
‼️ Tomorrow (Tuesday, Sept 24) is the Vyatipata Yoga day and hence do not miss this rare opportunity ‼️
You can also perform on Ashtami or Trayodashi days as these thithis are also equated to Gaya shraddha phalam.
