धर्मो विवर्धति युधिष्ठिर कीर्तनेन, पापं प्रणश्यति वृकोदर कीर्तनेन ।
शत्रुर्विनश्यति धनंजय कीर्तनेन, मादीसुतौ कथयतां न भवंति रोगाः ।।
Dharmo vivardhati ( Dharma increases) Yudhiṣṭhira keertanena ( when Yudhisthira is praised).
Paapaṃ praṇashyati ( the sins get destroyed) Vrikodara keertanena ( when Bheemasena is praised).
Shatruh-vinashyati ( the enemies get annhilated) Dhananjaya keetanena ( when Arjuna is praised).
Maadi-sutau kathayataaṃ ( narrating the sons of Madri, Nakula and Sahadeva) na bhavanti rogaaḥ ( diseases do not happen).
Dharma grows with the praise of Yudhistira, sins die with the praise of Bhima, enemies are extinguished with the praise of Arjuna, there will be no ill-health with the praise of Nakula and Sahadeva.
