Greetings and Namaste. As per solar calendar (sauramAna), the month Margashirsha (also known as Dhanur masa and Margazhi in Tamil) starts on 16-Dec-2020 (Wednesday). For those who follow lunar (chandramAna) calendar, the MargashIrsha month started earlier.
As Lord Krishna declares (mAsAnAM mArgashIrShoham), the month MargashIrsha is dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu. It is in this month both Vaikunta Ekadashi and Ardra Darshanam occur - the two most important occasions to worship Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva respectively.
I am delighted to share a rare, short and sweet hymn on Lord Narayana taken from Padma Puranam, Uttara Khanda and Chapter 228. May We Seek The Blessing of The Almighty with this prayer!
