॥ मायापञ्चकम् ॥
रुपमनित्यनिरंशकेऽप्यखण्डे
मयि चिति सर्वविकल्पनादिशून्ये ।
घटयति जगदीशजीवभेदं
त्वघटितघटनापटीयसी माया ॥ १॥
I am the timeless, partless, divisionless Awareness Absolute-without-a-second. In me are absent all kinds of imaginations, superimpositions, etc. Yet the illusion (Maya), which is capable of making the impossible possible, creates in me the division of Universe, God and Individual.
श्रुतिशतनिगमान्तशोधकान- प्यहह धनादिनिदर्शनेन सद्यः ।
कलुषयति चतुष्पदाद्यभिन्ना- नघटितघटनापटीयसी माया ॥ २॥
Lo and behold ! The power of Maya makes the impossible possible. It taints even the scholars of the scores of Upanishads and tempts them by presenting wealth, etc., before them.
सुखचिदखण्डविबोधमद्वितीयं वियदनलादिविनिर्मिते नियोज्य ।
भ्रमयति भवसागरे नितान्तं त्वघटितघटनापटीयसी माया ॥ ३॥
Maya is capable of making the impossible possible. It causes Atman, which is Bliss, Awareness, and undifferentiated Knowledge, to identify with the construct of space, fire, etc. ( the physical body), thereby relentlessly encircling it in the ocean of worldliness (Samsara)
अपगतगुणवर्णजातिभेदे सुखचिति विप्रविडाद्यहंकृतिं च ।
स्फुटयति सुतदारगेहमोहं त्वघटितघटनापटीयसी माया ॥ ४॥
The Maya, capable of making the impossible possible, indeed makes the egoity of brahminhood, merchanthood, etc. to appear in the blissful Awareness, Which is devoid of qualities, caste appellations, and division based on birth.
विधिहरिहरविभेदमप्यखण्डे बत विरचय्य बुधानपि प्रकामम् ।
भ्रमयति हरिहरभेदभावा- नघटितघटनापटीयसी माया ॥ ५॥
Alas ! Maya makes the impossible possible. It creates the division of Brahmadeva, Vishnu and Rudra even in the undivided Brahman. It indeed deludes even the scholars such that they practice devotion divided between Vishnu and Rudra.
श्रीमत्परमहंसपरिव्राजकाचार्यस्य
श्रीगोविन्दभगवत्पूज्यपादशिष्यस्य श्रीमच्छङ्करभगवतः कृतौ मायापञ्चकम् ॥
