Dear All,
Greetings and Namaste. Sri Hanumat Jayanti is celebrated on different days in different parts of India but in South Indian tradition it falls on 21-Jan-2014 (Saturday). In this connection, I am happy to share a rare Ashtottaram on Lord Anjaneya said to be from Ghatikachala Mahatmya in Brahma Vaivarta Mahapuranam.
Ghatikachala is currently known as Sholingur (Tamil Nadu) and is one of the very important kshetras on Lord Narasimha. Lord Anjaneya in this temple is also very famous and the attached Ashtottaram is on Lord Anjaneya in this temple who holds Shanka (Conch) and Chakra (Disc) like Lord Vishnu.
The brief Phalashruti mentions that one who recites this hymn accrues all sorts of benefits.
May We Pray to Lord Hanuman on this Hanumat Jayanti day!
