Vivah Panchmi - Marriage of Shri Ram and Maa Sita In tetra you Lord Vishnu took Ram Avataar. Sri Ram was the eldest son of King of Ayodhya Dasharath. And Maa Lakshmi incarnated as King Janak's daughter Sita.
As per the great epic Ramayana, God Sri Ram visited kingdom of Janaka, broke the sacred bow and won Sita Swayamvar. Later he got married to Goddess Sita on the pious day of Vivah Panchami i.e. Margshirsh shukla paksha panchami. |
