Nayaru pidichha pulivalu. (The man who hold the tail of the tiger)

Once one Nair who used to boast much of his courage was walking through a hilly area. Suddenly a small tiger appeared from the bushes. Nair run to a near by tree with the intention of climbing on it. But before he could climb the tiger had approached to jump on him.

Nair some how caught hold of its tail and stood on one side of the tree. Due to width of the tree, tiger could not reach him. How much time nair can hold the tail and stand?

By the time hearing the huge cry some other walkers rushed to the spot. They too started to hold the tail. Out of pain the tiger lost the idea of jumping and put all force and jumped in to forest. Seeing the aim of tiger all let loose the hold.

This is a famous saying in Malayalam. Either an issue cannot be let dropped or the situation does not permit to continue with it. An example is a sick industry. If the shut down is proposed huge compensation to workers. If to be continued, no sales and lack of funds.
