How to take oil bath traditionally?

*Deepawali oil bath*

Mantra to be chanted while putting 7 dots of til oil on right thigh  before applying oil over head and body  before Narakachaturdasi snana. This mantra is to be chanted by elder  lady of house or mother or wife

अश्वत्थामा बलिव्र्यासो हनूमांश्च विभीषण:।

कृप: परशुरामश्च सप्तएतै चिरजीविन:॥

(Ashwattama, Bali, Vyaso, hanumanscha, Vibhishanaha. Krupah,. Parashuramascha sapta yete chiranjeevinaha). These are 7 Chiranjeevis who are still alive even now. Taking these 7 names one by one, one one dot of oil should be put on the right thigh of house members. Once these dot are applied chant the below sloka praying for long life then apply til oil on head and then body

सप्तैतान् संस्मरेन्नित्यं मार्कण्डेयमथाष्टमम्।

जीवेद्वर्षशतं सोपि सर्वव्याधिविवर्जित।।

(Saptaitani smarenityam markandeyam athashtamam. Jeevet varsha shatam sopi sarva vyadhi vivarjitaha)
