Manasollasa of Advaitavidyacharya, Srimad Appayya Dikshitendra
All living entities are tainted by three impurities- 1) Mala-dosha, 2) Vikshepa-dosha, and 3) Avarana-dosha.
The second one mentioned here i.e. the Vikshepa-dosha is something that makes the mind of a human being to keep wavering constantly without allowing him to stand firm by the Truth taught or revealed to him.
This impurity is removed by unswerving devotion (Ananyabhakti) with concentration in worship (Upasana).
Here is a wonderful Stotra composed by Srimad Appayya Dikshitendra on Lord Siva. He has written it in the form of a conversation with the mind in shlokas one through fifteen, and with the intellect in shlokas sixteen through eighteen, instructing them to contemplate on the form of the Lord.
