*Four MahaVakya*
1. Pragnanam Brhm - Consciousness is the Brhm. (Rig Veda MahaVakyam)
2. Aham Brhmasmi - Self is Brhm (Yajur Veda MahaVakya)
3. Tat-tvam-asi - the entire substratum of the universe is Brhm (Sama Veda MahaVakya)
4. Ayamatma Brhm - the Atma is Brhm (Atharva Veda MahaVakya)
1. Consciousness = Brhm
2. Self = Brhm
3. Substratum of Universe = Brhm
4. Atma = Brhm
Brahman = Consciousness, Self, substratum of the Universe, Atma
Consciousness = Self
Self = substratum of the Universe
Substratum of the Universe = Atma
Therefore,
Consciousness = Atma
Consciousness = Self
Consciousness = ...Universe
Self = Consciousness
Self = ...Universe
Self = Atma
Self = Brahman (Yejur Veda)
Self = Jivathma
*Tat tvam Asi* (the entire substratum of the universe is Brhm) - I am the Jivathma.
Bhagavan Sri Krishna said in Bhagavad Gita that among Vedas I am Sama Veda.
This suggests both Jivathma and Paramathma are one and the same.
Therefore, as per Sanathan Dharma and teachings Every thing that our Eye and Mind perceive is Brhm and Brhm = Self (Yejur Veda). It is the same Self within and in every thing our eye (and all sense organs) and mind perceive.
This understanding and practice makes the one eventually perceive the world as Vasudaiva kutumbakam and the one who perceives everything, every one and the world/universe that way is BhrahmaJnani. This is Brahmajnanam and indeed this is Brahmavidya - near to impossible to understand this because of our quevering bodies and wavering minds which in turn is because of overwhelming desires, fear and anger.
That is why perhaps Bhagavad Gita says
kāma-krodha-viyuktānāṁ yatīnāṁ yata-chetasām
abhito brahma-nirvāṇaṁ vartate viditātmanām
What it literally means is that by eliminating the urges of desire and anger and subduing their own mind, they (can) attain perfect peace both in this life and here-after - this understanding and practice is very fundamental to Mental Health, Physical Health, Community Health and Global Health
We are, and considerd as, Ajnani until we as an individual and also collectively realize that we, Thapa-Thrayam, are nothing but Brahman (Brhm).
*Thapa-Thrayam = Adhidaivikam, Adhibouthikam, Adhyatmikam
We humans, being one among the 84 lakh species, are also part of THAT Thapa-Thrayam - as Jivathma & Paramathma are One and the Same and is in everything and everywhere - the substratum of the Universe (Tat-tvam-asi)
