Tight rope walker - Poem on GOD

The Tightrope Walker

A tight-rope Walker incredibly skilled,
Highest ropes he'd walked the world over,
Even Niagara Falls, fearlessly he'd crossed over.
In New York he once announced,
Walk on rope I will across two high scrapers.
On the street, a crowd huge gathered,
To see wondrous feat anon,
Emerge He did from one block,
Walked He with but a stick in hand,
People below, breathlessly watched,
Deftly to the end as way He made,
To loud applause his hat He waved.
People thought the show's over,
But no, He emerged again on the rope,
This time with assistant on His shoulder
The crowd below, OOOED and AAAWED
As Walker with human burden walked
Many eyes in fear closed
With bated breath waited
As Walker walked unconcerned
At last to reach side from where He'd started
To wild applause seldom heard so loud.
He asked, "Do you in my awesome skill believe?"
The response was loud in excited shrill,
"Yes in your awesome skill we believe."
"Come, sit on my shoulder, I will
Take you across life's abyss."
None answered his call sincere,
"Alas, God that I am" he said,
"In me you believe,
But pity, no Faith in Me you have."
