*काष्ठादग्निरहेः फणादपि मणिर्गोपित्ततो रोचना,*

*प्राकाश्यं स्वगुणोदयेन गुणिनो गच्छन्ति किं जन्मना।।*

*किडो से रेशम ,पथ्थर से सुवर्ण, गोरोम से दूर्वा, पङ्क से कमल, समुद्र से चन्द्रमा, गोबर से नीलकमल, काष्ठ से अग्नि, सर्प के फण से मणि, औऱ गोपित्त से गोरोचन की उत्पत्ति होती है। अतः यह स्पष्ट है कि गुणि व्यक्ति अपने गुणों के विकास से ही प्रसिद्धि को प्राप्त करता है, ना की जन्म से।।*
