Sanskrit subhashitams

परोपदेशवेलायां शिष्टाः सर्वे भवन्ति वै ।
विस्मरन्तीह शिश्टत्वं स्वकार्ये समुपस्थिते ॥
Any body can give advice to somebody in distress. But forget all those advices when they themselves are in trouble.
🌸🌸राम राम जय परशुराम 🌸🌸
दूरस्थोऽपि न दूरस्थो,
यो यस्य मनसि स्थित:।
यो यस्य हॄदये नास्ति,
समीपस्थोऽपि दूरत:॥

If someone resides in your heart, he / she is not far even if physically far. If you don't like someone he / she is distant even if spatially close.
🌸🌸राम राम जय परशुराम 🌸🌸
कस्यैकान्तं सुखम् उपनतं, 
दु:खम् एकान्ततो वा।
नीचैर् गच्छति उपरि च, 
दशा चक्रनेमिक्रमेण॥
Who has only experienced constant happiness or constant sorrows? Situations in life are similar to a point on the moving wheel which goes up and down regularly.

वित्तमेति च याति च।
अक्षीणो वित्तत: क्षीणो 
वॄत्ततस्तु हतो हत:॥
  We should guard our character attentively; money can come and go. If money is lost, nothing is lost but if character is lost, everything is lost.
🌸🌸राम राम जय परशुराम 🌸🌸
परवाच्येषु निपुण: 
सर्वो भवति सर्वदा।
आत्मवाच्यं न जानीते 
जानन्नपि च मुह्मति॥
Anybody is an expert to comment about others, anytime. But nobody knows about himself; even if, he knows, he knows incorrectly.

स हि भवति दरिद्रो 
यस्य तॄष्णा विशाला।
मनसि च परितुष्टे 
कोर्थवान् को दरिद्रा:॥
The person with vast desires is definitely poor. For the one with satisfied mind, there is no distinction between rich and poor.
