Apart from highlighting the value of Thiruppugazh as a work of Jnana and devotion, the book explains how Thiruppugazh is considered as a confluence where different doctrines like Advaita Vedanta, Upanishad and Puranas like Ramayana and Mahabharata meet.

The book also traces the origin of Lord Muruga, His infinite qualities, His manifestation as the protector of devotees from demons like Sooran, His marriage with Valli and Devasena and his renunciation at Palani.

The book narrates the life history of great saints like Vallimalai Sachidananda Swamigal, Pamban Swamigal etc.  It also describes the saga of devotees who dedicated their life for the highlight of Thiruppugazh.  The book also gives translation and interpretation to Kandar Anubhuti and Kandar Alamgaram.
