Dear All,
Greetings and Namaste. At the outset, may I wish you, your family, kith and kin a very Happy and Prosperous New Year (2014) to bring abundance, achievement, fulfillment in each and every endeavor of your lives.
As we all know, our efforts towards this is only one side (or miniscule) of the story. It is Lord who bestows a sense of direction, drive to achieve and constant coaching and nudging towards fructification. So, Lord's blessings are the essential ingredient to success. In that context, I am happy to attach two rare Ashottarams:
1. Parthasarathy Ashottara Shata Namavali - As Lord Krishna gave the sense of direction and guided the action of Partha (Arjuna), may He also bestow His blessings in the same way in our material/spiritual journeys. The source of this stotra is unknown and is taken (after transliteration) from a century old Telugu manuscript. Obviously there seem to be many errors and any suggestions on correction welcome.
2. Sri Hanumat Ashtottaram - this is from Pancharatra Agama but is a collection from Valmiki Ramayana, Kishkinda Khanda. The names largely appear as long phrases and therefore I have endeavored my best to hyphenate long phrases into words for easy understanding and reading. For any endeavor, self-esteem, motivation and absolute faith/courage are essential to scale new heights. Who else but Lord Hanuman, who is prayed as asAdhya-sadhaka-svAmin (performer of insuperable deeds), can provide this to us?
The New Year actually starts with Hanumat Jayanty (as per South Indian tradition) and therefore it will only be more apt to embark on the new year with prayer to Lord Hanuman to make us indefatigable in our righteous endeavors this year forward.
Once again, may I wish you a Very Happy New Year. May Lord Parthasarathy and Lord Hanuman guide you through to make this year a momentous one in every respect.
