Dear All,
Greetings and Namaste. Sri Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated on two different days this year (09-Aug-2012 and 08-Sep-2012) due to calendar differences.
In that connection, I am happy to attach an Ashtakam by Lord Yama in Brahma Puranam - a short and sweet prayer on Lord Narayana. A brief context of the prayer as well as the greatness of Purushottama Kshetra (Puri Jagannath) is given in the preface.
Actually I wanted to share a few other rare stutis for this occasion but due to professional work pressure, I am unable to do so. I shall perhaps endeavour to share some closer to 09-Sep-2012.
Wishing you all a happy and Bhakti-purvaka celebration of Krishna Jayanthi, which marks the divine intervention to set right chaos and adharma - in a way, the milieu today perhaps qualifies for such an intervention.
