*Another very soothing aphorism from Bhartruhari...in his neetishatakam*
*" Even when a tree is mutilated by cutting off its branches, it grows new
branches in time and regains its original grandeur. Similarly even though
the moon goes into vitual nothinness by every new moon day, he picks up his
pieces of crescents and grows into fullness gradually once again. Taking
these as their role models in life noble people never grieve too much when
misfortune strike them hard.*
*The simple but elegant expostulation of the nature of things in the
universe is really worth pondering over repeatedly . The cycle of life is
like a cartwheel. Often, one part of it rubs with hard earth but while the
wheel rolls on, that part reaches the uppermost and comfortable part in its
journey. These ups and downs repeat with periodic precison. However, if the
wheel stops at any point, its fate is doomed. It will be completed
grounded. Pundits of lifestyle management may say that proper planning and
execution can make life bright all the time.. Such projection of life as an
everlasting honeymoon journey is completely wrong. No one can plan for
ascendancy at every twist and turn of life. Windfalls as well as
misfortunes like thunderbolt, visit and strike us at the most unexpected
moment. The statistical parameters may add up to infinity and so no
prediction is possible. The ideal policy is to grin and bear it. An
optimist can always see a sheet of sunlight at the farthest end of the
tunnel. And time and fate are very tough taskmasters. Quite unlike our
bosse who at worst would threaten or record some adverse remarks in our
annual performance appraisal, nature simply delivers its punishments and
bounties with dizzying speed and strength. No appeals and reviews here.
However, remember that no one can break the human spirit. If one refuses to
become desolate come whatever may, all forces will stand stupefied before
him.*

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.
Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God
