2)A year is divided, into 6 ruthus, namely
1)Vasantha Ruthu

3)Varsha Ruthu
4)Sharath Ruthu
5)Hemant Ruthu
6)Shisisra Ruthu
3)A year is again divided into two halves consisting of 6 months
called ayanam viz, uttharayanam and dakshinayanam

All scriptures, stotras tell us that Lord is very Madhuram,Thirumangai Alwar praises Lord of Sholingur as "AKKARAKANI"meaning sweetest fruit
"Mikkanai;Mariyay virintha vellakai;ennul pukaanai;pugah ser ;polikindra pon malai yai;thakkanai;kadaigai thatan kundram mesairundha akkara kaniyai- adainthu,uyinthu ponene."
Madhurashtakam speaks every feature of Lord as Madhuram,
Andal calls emperumaan as "Manatthukku iniyaan" in Thiruppavai.
6)Alavandhar in his stotra ratnam praises "Vishnu Puranam" as
"Purana Ratnam", It consists of 6 amsas consisting 126 adhyayas

16)Thiruppavai by Andal Nacchiyar is of 30 verses which is divided into 6 divisions containing five pasurams each by our poorvachryas.
1)1st division deals with five pasurams with which pavai nombi is extolled
2)The 2nd division of five pasurams deals with awakening of the girls for bhagavat kainkaryam
3)The 3rd division of five pasurams speaks awakening of very devoted bhakthas of the lord
4)The 4th division of five pasurams tells along with bhagavatha goshti how Andal, at Nandhagopan;s house, awakes Yashodha, Balaraman, Napinnai and Krishna
5)The 5th division of five pasurams sings how gopis sing pallandu for krishna and make him prepared.
6)The 6th and the last division of five pasurams speaks of gopis praying to krishna for granting them kainkaryam
17)Prapatthi is a synonym for "sharanagati", surrendering oneself or offering one's self to the Lord. It is the highest teaching of Sri Vaishnavism, and living the life of a prapanna is the highest goal of a Sri Vaishnava
Pre-requisites of a Prapannan are also 6 in Number
A prapannan who does sharanagathi must possess the following qualities
1)Anukulya sankalpa ha (to always think of good)
2)Piradhi koolya varjanam (to shed bad)
3)Rakshishya they ithi viswasaha(Unshakable faith that Emperumaan will save us)
4)Gopathruthava varanam (To take refuge in HIM only)
5)Aathma Neeshepanam (To surrender our soul to HIM)
6)Kaarppanyam(To shed Ahankaram,Mamakaram,& to accept everything as HIS commands)
18) To demonstrate the same, there are 6 steps on either side to East and West for going to Chandhanu mandapam, in Sri Rangam temple through which one has to pass to get the Periya Perumal Darsanam, These 6 steps indicate the qualities which are to be possessed by Prapannas
19)6 pointed glorious questions are asked by Dharmaputra, to Bheeshma who lies on a bed of arrows, awaiting the arrival of Uttaraayanam for shedding his mortal coils. It is in reply to these six glorious questions that the entire Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram unfolds. The questions were
1)"Kim ekam daivatam loke"? ("Who is the only Deity/Supreme God in this world?)
2)"Kim vaapi ekam paraayanam"?(Which is the sole supreme God who has to be prayed?)
3)"Stuvanta: kam"? (Who has to be prayed with stotras?)
4)"Kam archanta: praapnuyu: maanava: subham"? (Whom should men adulate and adore to attain all that is good?)
5)"Ko dharma: sarva dharmaanaam bhavata: paramo mata:"? (Which Dharma is supreme amongst all?)
6)Kim japan muchyate jantu: janma samsaara bandhanaat"?(By reciting what does a person rid himself of the shackles of Samsara?")
20)There are many commentaries on Vishnu Sahasranamam stotram. 6 reasons are generally identified for the greatness of the Stotram. These are:
1)It is the essence of the Mahabharata.
2)Sages such as Narada, the Alwars, and many composers have made repeated references to the "Thousand Names of Vishnu" in their devotional works.
3)The person who strung together the thousand names as part of the Mahabharata and preserved it for the world was none other than Sage Vedavyasa, the foremost knower of the Vedas, and considered an incarnation of Vishnu (vyasaya vishnu rupaya vyasa rupaya vishnave namo...).
4)It is the considered opinion of Bhishma that it is the best and easiest of all Dharmas, or the means to attain relief from all bondage.
5)It is widely accepted that the chanting of this Stotram gives relief from all sorrows and leads to happiness and peace of mind.
6)It is in conformity with the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita,

Our poorvacharyas struggled and even scarified themselves making kainkakryam as their only goal, to hand over to us this glorious sath sampradhaym, and it is now our turn to preserve this Emperumanaar darsanam and carry on it to our future generations, particularly at this junction, where there is lot of exposure, misinterpretations & other diversions.
