Satisfaction

==============================

सन्तॊषः त्रिषु कर्तव्यः स्वदारे भॊजने धने।

त्रिषु चैव कर्तव्यॊऽध्ययने जपदानयॊ:

One must have satisfaction with the following three things:

1.  Your beloved spouse.  2. The food you eat  and 3. The wealth you possess.   This satisfaction should be there eternally.  As according to your destiny, these three things are ordained by the almighty in this very life of yours.  Whether your spouse is very beautiful or of average beauty, whether your food is rich and tasty or otherwise, whether your wealth  acquired is up to your satisfaction or otherwise, you have to enjoy as it has come to you.   To change these state of affairs, no one is capable of doing so.  Even Hari Hara Brahma i.e., the divine trinity are in-capable  to do so.   Therefore, all men and women should be satisfied with these  things as bestowed by the almighty and get on with their life with full satisfaction and live happily through out.

But in the case of the following three things viz., Japa (penance), Adhyayana (study of scriptures for gaining spiritual knowledge) and Daana (charity), one should not have vestige of enjoyment and neither have satisfaction nor a feeling of enough; because, for these three things there is no limit , because of their perview  is unlimited.  One should not entertain a feeling that one has learnt within the limits of ones capacity, but one should  aspire for more and more. Even then there remains something yet.

As such, one should be fully satisfied in case of spouse, food and wealth, whereas in the case of Japa, Adhyayana and Daana, feeling unsatisfied and be striving hard  to ward of that feeling of dissatisfaction.

 With this thought, I WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY & PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR 2011
