jAbAlashrutis in AnandatIrtha's gItAbhAshhya

 

                 Cited in AnandatIrtha's bhagavadgItA – bhAshhya 5.2 & 11.16:

     The jAbAla shruti says:

                                         ब्रह्मचर्यादेव प्रव्रजेत् यदहरेव विरजेत् ।

   " One may enter the yati – Ashrama from brahmacharya Ashrama itself the very day he acquires freedom from attachment. "

     The jAbAlakhila – shruti states:

   गुणाः श्रुताः सुविरुद्धाश्च देवे सन्त्यश्रुता अपि नैवात्र शङ्का ।

   चिन्त्या अचिन्त्याश्च तथैव दोषाः श्रुताश्च नाज्ञैर्हि तथा प्रतीताः ।

   एवं परेऽन्यत्र श्रुताश्रुतानां गुणागुणानां च क्रमाद्व्यवस्था ॥ इति जाबालखिलश्रुतेश्च

" In the Supreme Being there exist attributes known and unknown through shrutis, including those empirically supposed to be mutually incompatible (like aNutva and mahatva). They are merely supposed to be in Him by the ignorant. This is the settled position in regard to Ishvara. "
