Marathon - Positive story

It was year 1968. Olympic marathon was over and the winner was declared an hour ago.

Most spectators had left the stadium with only a handful of them remaining and about to leave.

Out of the cold darkness he came. *_John Stephen Akhwari_* of Tanzania entered at the far end of the stadium, pain hobbling his every step, his leg bloody and bandaged.

As he crossed the finish line, the small crowd roared out its appreciation.

Afterward, a reporter asked the runner why he had not retired from the race, since he was injured during race and held no chance of winning.

He answered:
"My country did not send me 5000 miles here to start the race. They sent me 5000 miles to finish the race."

=====

Once we start a task, it's an onus to Complete it or Finish it. Isn't it?
